Rooted Wisdom Africa’s’s Women’s Enterprise Training Program ​​ helps disadvantaged Ugandan women become self-sufficient by guiding them in their economic endeavors – from idea generation through business implementation in order to secure independent and sustainable employment. is built on the idea that with appropriate tools and education, young women can grow into powerful leaders in the community that and shape the economic and educational success of future generations. 

The program centers around several vital activities: classroom-based business lessons, vocational training, exposure visits, mentorship, and business start-up kits in the form of financial funding. The program incorporates strategies that meet all learning modalities, including role play, case studies, drawings, and group work.

To date, 70% of our graduates have launched a new or expanded business within six to nine months of completing the program; and 55.6% of these individuals began earning income within six months with an average salary increase of 55%.
