The Women’s Enterprise Training Program supports disadvantaged Ugandan women in becoming self-sufficient by assisting them in every step of their economic journey, from generating ideas to starting businesses and finding sustainable employment.
The program centers around several key activities: classroom-based business lessons, vocational training, exposure visits, mentorship, and business start-up kits in the form of financial funding, and incorporates strategies that meet all learning modalities, including role play, case studies, drawings, and group work.
It’s essential to think about women, especially rural women, who have no chance and access to expensive training organized in urban areas. Every lesson taught through the Women’s Enterprise Training Program is vital to the women in our community because they are given the whole package to help them build their businesses, families, and the entire community.
It is a dream come true for me to graduate (from the Women’s Enterprise Training Program). Though I have graduated in business lessons and training, I feel that I have achieved the highest degree in small-scale business practices and agricultural training. Thank you very much, Rooted Wisdom Africa, for your love of village women. You have positively impacted our community.
Rooted Wisdom Africa’s (RWA) programs are paving the way for women in rural communities by exposing them to many business ideas and the ability to understand how to manage a business through classroom learning. Many households are led by women who have never been trained, but these programs help them to start up new businesses that will sustain their families. RWA has given women the confidence to run businesses because of the business skills they have attained.
The Life Skills Program offers students the opportunity to reach their full potential through academic scholarships, vocational skill building, personal and professional development courses, and a school feeding program.
The Collegiate Education Training Program combats Uganda’s high unemployment rates by offering students the opportunity to continue their education by learning a trade that addresses a local need or service.
The Seeding Success programs equip current or aspiring farmers with the skills needed to expand their crop production and income through technical training, business management courses, and hands-on technical support using a cost-effective approach to sustainable farming.
The Women’s Enterprise Training Program supports women in launching or expanding a family business through business management courses, skill building, and start-up funding, making their dream of attaining economic self-sufficiency and food security a reality.
Our blueprint: education and enterprise, fueled by internal drive, leads to financial independence.
